“Happiness never goes out of style” was the theme for KCM Toastmasters Club’s first joint meeting for the year 2020 namely ‘Business Schools Meetup’ with KU-SOM Toastmasters and SAIM Toastmasters. The idea was initiated by Asira Khanal, Area A5 PQD. The meeting was conducted at KCM college, Gwarko on 31st January 2020. There were almost 30 Toastmasters applauding in the hall with role takers from all three clubs.
The role of General evaluator was taken up by Shaurab Lohani, Associate Program Quality Director, District 41. As guests, we had members from different clubs and areas including Area A3 Director Ankit Goenka and the VPPR of Kathmandu Toastmasters club, Mridul Basnet. Moreover, we had amazing speakers lined up from all three clubs – Prisma Shrestha (KCM), Vidhya Rajopadhyay (SAIM) and Sambriddhi Dhital (KU-SOM) evaluated by our division speech evaluation contest winner Priya Chapagain (KU-SOM), our Division Editor for and the VPE at KU-SOM toastmasters club, Alfa M. Shakya and our KCM Toastmasters club VPE Riti Subba respectively.
The excitement and positive vibes filled the hall with so much energy and enthusiasm. We had an interesting Table Topics session that invited the guests to participate very actively. Furthermore, in the featured speech session, we had a mixture of political, memes research and icebreaker speeches which made the meeting an even more diverse and fascinating one. We also had one of the most competitive evaluation round sparked with humour by our GE Shaurab Lohani. The meeting ended with a lot of positive response and fruitful members interaction. Joyously, all the members were highly encouraged to come up with more joint meetings.
