Hosted by Prashant Shrestha, Area A4 Director, the theme was apt for the growth Division A has seen would not have been possible without collaboration among leaders, clubs, and individuals. Laxmi Bank Toastmasters, Professionals Toastmasters, KCM Toastmasters, and Himalaya Toastmasters were collaborating for the splendid joint meeting.

Special guests for the evening were International President Deepak Menon, DTM, District     41 Director Jennifer Ghosh, DTM. Accompanying the delegation were District 41 Club Growth Director Ranjit Acharya, DTM and Division A Director Suman Shakya, DTM.

Ghosh briefly shared her journey as a Toastmaster that began in 2008. She also raised a curious questions as to why the tagline of Toastmasters is ‘Where Leaders Are Made’ and

not where communicators are made. The question was resolved when she enlightened the audience with the thought that communication is in itself a part of leadership.

The regular sessions of the meeting – Table Topics, Featured Speech, and Evaluation were led by members from across the four collaborating clubs. Show stopping the evening was International President Menon.

Along with his journey, Menon highlighted how Toastmasters helped him learn skills that no school could teach.

The evening was a prologue to what was to follow the next day, on Dec 7th 2020 at Citation. With awards and accolades handed out to better speakers, the evening ended with informal networking and snacks.
