The Nashville visit for the Toastmasters District Leader Training and International Convention was enjoyable, fun, and back-breaking – literally. Nevertheless, the insightful learning was so immense, insightful, and impactful that it has made me deeply think and pivot many of my thought processes and the way I work.

I am deeply honored to have represented District 41 Toastmasters. Missed dearly my fellow Trio team – District Director Ankur Yadav, DTM and Club Growth Director Moon Pradhan, DTM. The energy, vibrancy and excitement were palpable even as we found out that the person whom you had met online was taller, older, and slimmer.

Among many takeaways, these three ranks up high in my list.

1. The learning sessions were world-class. The content and the facilitation by the trainers are at par with the best universities in the world. Indebted to be a participant.

2. Got a peek into the back-end management to successfully execute a hybrid event that had 900+ onsite participants and thousands online. Every segment over six days started and ended on time. The micro-detailing and smooth operation were a joy to experience.

3. The emphasis on enjoying, having fun, and networking was made an important part of the event. Learning takes place when members are enjoying and are happy. This has to be part of the DNA of a club that strives for quality and member retention.

Being in the audience of the World Champion of Public Speaking was the icing on the cake. Glad I could meet so many people from different countries and understand the important bond between learning and creating a better version of ourselves every day is the same everywhere. Learning continues.

A big shout out to my roommate M Zahid Hossain, CGD D124 whose constant company and conversation made the stay more worthwhile. You will catch me in the highlights – https://youtu.be/20K_iEgeGuI
