Distinguished Toastmaster Moon Pradhan is Area A1 Director, Division A, District 41, Toastmasters International for the term 2019-20. A member since 2010, her home club is Everest Toastmasters Club. She was the Pathways Guide for clubs in Nepal in 2018. She has been President of Everest Toastmasters Club and Himalaya Toastmasters Club in the past. She was also a charter member of Shangrila Toastmasters Club.

Professionally, she is a communications consultant. She has over 20 years of experience combined in the
media, advertising and development sectors. She was involved in the launch of national newspapers – The Himalayan Times and Annapurna Post. She has been behind the launch of many health campaigns for social behavior change in the country.

Distinguished Toastmaster Moon Pradhan is Area A1 Director, Division A, District 41, Toastmasters International for the term 2019-20. She served as the Pathways Guide for clubs in Nepal for nine months when Pathways rolled out in Region 13 in May 2018.

A member since 2010, her home club is Everest Toastmasters Club. She was a dual member at Himalaya Toastmasters Club and Shangrila Toastmasters Club. She has been in the executive committee of Everest Toastmasters Club as President (2018-19), Vice President Education and Secretary. She was also President of Himalaya Toastmasters Club (2014), and Vice President Education of same club. She was the secretary of Shangrila Toastmasters Club for a year and half (2014, 2014-15). She was also the sponsor for Laxmi Bank Toastmasters Club and mentor for Bodhi Toastmasters Club. She also served as Program Quality Director for Division A for the year 2018-19.

Professionally, she is a communications consultant. She has over 20 years of experience combined in the media, advertising and development sectors. She was involved in the launch of national newspapers – The Himalayan Times and Annapurna Post. She has been behind the launch of many health campaigns for social behavior change in the country. Her campaign on family planning (Smart Jeewan) has won international award (Flame Award). Besides media and advertising, she also has experience in knowledge management and documentation for projects.

She is also associated with alternative energy (Gham Power Pvt. Ltd.), and technical education (Yala Institute of Health Sciences). She also has some years of teaching supervision, marketing and marketing research at Silver Mountain School of Hotel Management, Silver Mountain Graduate Business School, Ace College and Kathmandu College of Management, respectively.

She is a staunch supporter of women empowerment. She was actively involved in girl’s education and empowerment as executive committee member in Association of St. Mary’s Alumnae Nepal from 2009-2014. Currently, she is continuing her work in women empowerment as Director of Advocacy, Legislative and Awareness at Zonta Club of Kathmandu. She was the Z club coordinator from Zonta Club of Kathmandu before this.

She is passionate about helping others, and her professional work, social work, and toastmaster’s journey stands as a reflection of this.
