Oh! What an ‘Ooh La Laa’ evening we had at Dharan Toastmasters meeting on Friday the 13th – 13 September 2019. Members were unstoppable in having fun and learning. Entrance examinations for MBBS & BDS programs were underway at BPKIHS and most members were busy with it. Others were busy in their businesses as the shopping spree for Dashain and Tihar festivals has started. Despite the uptight circumstances, we could all enjoy the evening and all of us were geared up for the theme.
TMoE Victor had carefully thought for all the subsegments of the meeting. They were: The most ‘Ooh La Laa’ selfie, the most ‘Ooh La Laa’ moment, and the most ‘Ooh La Laa’ expression. TM Krishna and TM Aayusha bagged the ‘better’ awards (Table topic speaker, Evaluator and Speaker) while TM Bijaya, TM Sundhya and 2 of our guests, Saurav Shrestha and Stuti Shrestha, won the sub segments. An applaudable participation from all the guests lit up the evening like decorative lights in Deepawali.
The table topic speeches were highlights of the evening and the featured speeches were the ‘aha’ moments. Gratitude to TM Asira for being part of our meeting and helping us move ahead. Your presence and feedback were well accepted and became a learning tool for us. I must say, we have grown into an established club, but we need to be an advanced club and a lot more needs to be done. We hope to make all our meetings an ‘Ooh La Laa’ like this one.
