A successful individual is often someone who had positive influences in their life. Doesn’t matter what they do for a living, if they can do it well then there was someone cheering them on or showing them the way.  A lot of people put pressure on themselves, and think it will be way too hard for them to live out of their dreams. Mentors are there to say, ‘Look, it’s not that tough. It’s not as hard as you think.’

Similarly at Toastmasters, we get a mentor, who helps us in our toastmasters journey. They are our best friend, our guide, and our teachers here. The ground realities at clubs are so different from what appears to be and shared in closed meeting at higher up Areas and Division.

Kathmandu Toastmasters Club had an interaction session with Division A Director DTM Suman Shakya, as part of his official visit on September 9, 2019. We were able to learn about member’s perception, club and individual improvement which are the keys in becoming a successful Toastmaster and a successful club. It was an insightful meeting that helped us understand different set of challenges in the club and deep desires of our members to learn and grow.
